Direct Road to Ruwais from E11

| Ruwais, UAE | October 5, 2014

In case you wanted to save some time while traveling back from Abu Dhabi to Ruwais, i have some good news for you. I am happy to confirm that we have an additional, fully working, new road that connects highway E11 to Ruwais.

As we all know Exit 142 is closed. The next best route to return to Ruwais from the eastern cities of UAE, that i have recommended in this article > was from Exit 127 Ghayathi roundabout.

That route is now obsolete. We now have a new route that will take us directly from E11 to Ruwais Mall. This new highway exit is after Exit 127.

It is a very good route as you can clearly see from the pictures. To see the photo gallery …

Driving on this road has saved me around 15 minutes comparing to the Ghayathi connection.

There is a speed limit of 60 km/h but there are no speed cameras installed at this moment.

So if you want to avoid the speed limit from the Ghayathi road, the extra u-turns and extra speed bumps kindly take this new route.

PS. If you are going from Ruwais to Abu Dhabi, i still recommed taking the Ghayathi road.

PS#2. Here is a video of actually passing Exit 127, and continuing to the new direct road to Ruwais from E11.

    Thanks for the info.

I tried this route while coming back from Royal Camp (New one).
But one has to drive slowly. Else one can miss the diversion to Ruwais mall and has to travel via Jebel Dhana to Ruwais.

Agreed with admin about the trip advice from Ruwais to Abu Dhabi as there is no signage for Abu Dhabi on E11. One can only find it while taking the road to Jebel Dhana first round-about.

  2. Well m a new commuter
Is this exit 127 after 142 or before ???

    • Yes. Exit 127 is after 142.
The new direct road to Ruwais from E11 is after Exit 127.
You can see the Youtube video to show you exactly.
Speed is around 120 kmph ;)

Speed camera seen @ 3:28 near the light pole.:-)

  4. Recently I had seen Exit to Abu Dhabi (E-11) on traffic circle near latino circus location. Anyone had used it before? where it leads ??

  5. Can you tell me the max speed limit for Ghayathi road. Signs say 80 but I’ve driven max 120 for as long as I’ve been here and dont get a ticket…. So do the cameras even work? And is the max 120, or higher?
    THANKS
