Earlier this evening, I got the call from the guy who called “Aris” from Star motors and I’m very happy with that.

At first, he said he checked the trace of coolant leakage first and then water pump and aux coolant tank.
I thought I would pay for replacement the water pump, coolant hoses and thermostat. Since the coolant fault light popped up on the dash and there was a trace of leakage- that’s what I thought -in the engine bay around the coolant hose.

Then he said “there is no trace of coolant leakage and he just put the water in the tank and turned on the ignition for 20 minutes. And after that he did test drive for another 20 minutes”

And he will send the car tomorrow after another 15 minutes test drive just make sure.

So far, so good.

He explained everything very well and I could have a peace of mind.

When we talked on whatsapp he didn’t seem to very knowledgeable and he didn’t seem to be bothered.

But that was my mistake.
He’s genuine, knowledgeable and reliable.

The last time I visited a well known workshop in AD, the guy tried to scammed me though.
Thus I had a trust issues with the garages in here.

But now I feel like I found a hidden gem.

Dynatrade was probably busy doing the visual inspection on my Volvo. Aparently that is what their “free check-up” consists of. The taxi fares will probably balance the cost of the “free car wash” ;)). But at least, i didn’t pass on the initial promotion.

I’m glad you have already sent out the car. There is really no point in monitoring their repair job once you have set the task, found the root cause, and have agreed on the parts and labor charges. If you discussed about a small warranty period, you should take the car for a long test drive.

After all is said and done, kindly share your feedback on the job.

I’ve called dynatrade in Ruwais and they seemed kind of overwhelmed.
I’ve tried to call them for an hour and finally I could talk to the guy.
He seemed quite knowledgeable but it ended up with saying “Okay I’ll call you back after asking my manager” and they never called me back.

So I tried to contact with star motors guys and they sent the recovery service and collected my car on the same day.

The one thing I’m really worried is that currently I’m not able to get out of the site- I’m in Barakah- and check the progress and their communication skill isn’t that good to be honest.

Hopefully they can fix the coolant line.
