How to avoid Traffic Tickets in UAE
There is no better way to get around UAE than with a personal car. It’s fast, convenient and relatively cheap.
Rental prices mainly depend on the type of car (sedan, suv) and the number of days that you wish to get the car for. A simple google search will reveal many companies offering this service.
Fuel cost is very low comparing to Europe or USA. Find out the actual prices of fuel from the UAE Ministry of Energy . (example : for 1 USD you will get 2 Litres of Unleaded Gasoline 95)
Driving in the UAE is generally a safe and stress-free day-to-day experience. It can be tricky in crowded areas (example: Mussafah), but you can get accustomed to the local driving styles.
To avoid traffic fines…
i would mainly recommend to not speed in the city and on the highway. You are allowed to go up to 19 km/h over the local maximum speed limit, but sometimes speed limit areas change very fast. (example: exiting Sheikh Khalifa highway -> going to IKEA). If you are going long distances i advise using the cruise control feature of the vehicle.
Always drive safe and keep in mind the following 147 rules that apply on UAE territory. Please print or share this list to know for what violations you can get fined.
PS. Always keep in mind that taxi drivers are in a hurry to get to their destinations and may cut you off sometimes.

Just as an additional suggestion. Try not to over-speed between radars also.
My friend Fahmi and I have been stopped by a road patrol last week.
The location of the police cars is before reaching Mirfa.
