Abu Dhabi is Changing Speed Limits and Removing the Speed Buffer

Please be informed that starting from the 12th of August 2018, driving in Abu Dhabi will imply following the exact speed limits, or else get fines.

بالتعاون مع شركائها الاستراتيجيين… شرطة أبوظبي تعلن تعديل السرعات وإلغاء الهامش على الطرق اعتباراً من 12 اغسطس المقبل . . أعلنت القيادة العامة لشرطة أبوظبي عن بدء تنفيذ الإجراءات الخاصة بإلغاء هامش السرعة على الطرق في إمارة أبوظبي وتعديل السرعات المعمول بها حاليا وتوحيد (سرعة ضبط الرادار) مع سرعة اللوحات المرورية على طرق الإمارة اعتباراً من 12 أغسطس المقبل. وأوضح معالي اللواء محمد خلفان الرميثي قائد عام شرطة أبوظبي أن قرار تعديل السرعات الذي يجري العمل على تطبيقه جاء وفقا لدراسات ومقارنات معيارية دقيقة لمؤشرات الحوادث المرورية والخصائص الهندسية وكثافة الحركة المرورية على الطرق وصولاً إلى تحقيق أفضل مستويات السلامة المرورية المطبقة عالمياً . وقال معاليه إن شرطة أبوظبي وبالتعاون مع الشركاء الاستراتيجيين، دائرة النقل ودائرة التخطيط العمراني والبلديات ” اعتمدت مجموعة من التوصيات والإجراءات الفنية التي ستسهم في تنفيذ مراحل تطبيق القرار. وأشار الرميثي إلى أن تحديد السرعات الجديدة والغاء هامش السرعة تم بناء على دراسات علمية قام بها فريق متخصص من القيادة العامة لشرطة أبوظبي ودائرة النقل ودائرة التخطيط العمراني والبلديات تم من خلالها تحليل الحوادث المرورية ومراعاة الخصائص الهندسية للطرق المختلفة والأحجام المرورية على تلك الطرق. وأوضح أن الدراسات اهتمت بإجراء مسح مروري لمعرفة سلوك السائقين والتغيير في سرعاتهم مقارنة بسرعة الطريق، ومقارنات معيارية عن السرعة وهامش السرعة مع بعض الدول التي حققت نتائج متميزة في مستويات السلامة المرورية للاستفادة من تطبيقاتها. ودعا الرميثي السائقين إلى التعامل الايجابي والالتزام التام بالسرعات الجديدة التي تم تحديدها وفقاً لأفضل الممارسات مؤكداً حرص القيادة الرشيدة واهتمامها بأمن وسلامة كافة مستخدمي الطريق، مشيراً إلى أنه سيتم تعريف الجمهور وتوعيتهم بالسرعات الجديدة وإلغاء هامش السرعة على الطرق الداخلية والخارجية بإمارة أبوظبي وفقا لحملة توعية شاملة تأتي في إطار حرص شرطة أبوظبي على سلامة مستخدمي الطريق وتثقيف الجمهور بأهمية وفوائد إلغاء هامش السرعات وتحذر من مخاطر السرعات العالية والتي تعد من أهم مسببات الحوادث. @abudhabidot @ad_dpm @abudhabiadm @ogc_ad #الإمارات #أبوظبي #شرطة_أبوظبي #أخبار_شرطة_أبوظبي #الإعلام_الأمني ‏#UAE #AbuDhabi #ADPolice #ADPolice_news ‏#security_media

  1. I wonder if in city limit after removing buffer they will install new speed limit sign board with 60 km/h or 80 km/h ?

    • inside the city, most likely they will install 60hm/h signs… and that will be the top allowed speed

      • Have they installed speed radars in ruwais city ? or will they.. please confirm me?

        most roads i see 30 and less from long time ago , but i dont know if there are cameras
        need to know

      • Fixed radars… no
        Mobile radars… yes (i know 2 cases of fines inside Ruwais HC)
