There is a growing trend in the world now of people taking pictures of their Vaccination Cards and posting them to Social Media to “humblebrag” that they received their shot. I read an article yesterday explaining why this is a bad idea — there is a lot of personal info on those cards – Name, date of birth, where you got the shot, which shot you received, etc. That information can easily be taken by unscrupulous persons and illegally duplicated and sold to people who have NOT been vaccinated, and it’s also a way to steal your identity. So, heed that warning and pass that info on to your loved ones — especially the. younger generation who feel the need to put everything they do up on the internet!!
Thank you for your feedback Mary Beth.
Kindly note that the primary intention of the article is to increase the awareness of the vaccination card existence and it’s updated version.
Also, please review the attached pictures to see that some elements have been edited out to protect the identity and privacy (be it last name, dob, phone #, E id #, hospital records #, vaccine lot #, etc).
However, as i have mentioned in the article, the card is not currently officially recognised => duplicating it won’t have any effect.
I have been vaccinated and can not find my vaccination card. How can i get a replacement card?
Revisit the clinic where you received your doses or check your status on Al Hosn app
