OLD (E11) ROAD DEVELOPMENT & IMPROVEMENT WORKS – AL DHAFRA REGION
160km/h Speed Limit : Mafraq – Ghuwaifat
Nearly one month ago, the speed limit of the “Ruwais to Abu Dhabi” highway was increased back to 140 km/h.
Today, Abu Dhabi Police has announced that you can go further than that, the new speed limit being 160 hm/h. If you know arabic, read the below “tweet”.

New Speed Limit Abu Dhabi <> Al Guwaifat
Starting from 15th of November going to or returning from Abu Dhabi may take a bit more time, but you’ll probably also save some fuel in the process. This is due to a new speed limit that will take into force from mid of November.
The following announcement (poster) was shared on social media yesterday evening, but i did not take it seriously until i have received it, today, on my work email. I have also contacted the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to confirm this. I have received a reply from Abu Dhabi Government Contact Center confirming the new speed limit.

Easy Access Road to E-11 and ADNOC Beach Club
One Good News for people who visit ADNOC beach club frequently. Now a day a new road is open to use from Ruwais-4. Look at below picture to find road. At extreme South West Corner of Ruwais-4 you will find a new Circle. from that circle take First exit.
After driving very Few Kilometer, you will find another traffic circle. If you want to go ADNOC Beach Club take exit at left with sign board of “Jabal Dhana” and if you want to go “Tariff” or “Abu dhabi” take exit at right. follow the sign board and after passing above E-11 you will find another circle and take exit for “Abu Dhabi” and you will be on “E-11″ heading to Abu Dhabi.
Easy to Remember for route of ADNOC Beach club.
Ruwais Roundabout —>> Take Right exit
First Roundabout ——>>Take Right Exit
Jabal Dhana Roundabout—->> Take Right Exit
take First you turn
You are on road of Danat Hotel –Dhafar hotel and ADNOC Beach Club.

Direct Road to Ruwais from E11
In case you wanted to save some time while traveling back from Abu Dhabi to Ruwais, i have some good news for you. I am happy to confirm that we have an additional, fully working, new road that connects highway E11 to Ruwais.
As we all know Exit 142 is closed. The next best route to return to Ruwais from the eastern cities of UAE, that i have recommended in this article > was from Exit 127 Ghayathi roundabout.
That route is now obsolete. We now have a new route that will take us directly from E11 to Ruwais Mall. This new highway exit is after Exit 127.

Road Closure Notification
Greetings Ruwais neighbours.
If you are planning a weekend trip the following news may prove to be very useful. Please be informed that the Ruwais Road to&from Exit 142 -> presented in the “Driving to Ruwais” article, has been closed. This action does not seem to be temporary, and i would not adventure on the road if i had urgent travelling to do.
Even though I have actually traveled on this particular road just 4 days before….
