Ruwais Mall Official Opening Day

After today’s meeting between Ruwais Housing Division managers and representatives of Line Investments and Engineering Consultants Group, the final opening date has been reconfirmed for the Ruwais Shopping Mall. We, the Ruwais.info website developers, are proud to be the first to tell you that the long wait is over.

Before we announce the exact opening day, we want to mention that in the beginning only Lulu Hypermarket and another 17 shops will open. As presented in the Ruwais Shopping Mall – Shops Layout article there are more than 17 shops in the Ruwais Mall. The remaining shops will open as soon as they are ready with everything (equipment, decorations, furniture, official documents, etc).

Grocery Home Delivery in Ruwais

If you ever need groceries delivered to your doorstep, please know that there are 3 small markets that have Free Home Delivery in the entire Ruwais Housing Complex.

The mini-markets that provide this service are : Apple FoodStuff, Baqala and Fathima. Their representatives assured me of their quality and fast shipment.

Shopping Bazaar in Ruwais Park

The Ruwais Community will be glad to know that there is a seasonal Shopping Bazaar in Ruwais (2) Park. The shopping area can be easily found in the middle of the park.

Shop owners say that they will leave in the first week of January. That means we still have almost 4 weeks to check out the bazaar and buy whatever you find to your liking.

Ruwais November Rain

This article is meant to be informative and objective:

Yesterday morning, at around 1:30 AM, Ruwais was experiencing an uncommon and powerful storm. Incredible amounts of rain were poured onto our city. The intensity of the storm was generated by the wind that was blowing with a massive force in all directions – causing most of the light damages. The damage left behind will take some time to repair. But we are sure that by 2nd of December (National Day of UAE) everything will be and look fine.

As expected, the intense storm passed very quickly. This meteorological phenomenon is very unlikely to happen in this part of the world to begin with.

Today, the skies began to clear up. At the moment of writing there are no more hints that the storm would return.

Metito wins ADNOC’s Ruwais Housing Complex project

Metito, a UAE-based international water desalination and waste water treatment company, announced today that it will be providing sewage treatment solutions for ADNOC’s Al Ruwais Housing Complex in Abu Dhabi.

The project, which is worth more than $54m, will see Metito provide a new sewage treatment plant catering to the current needs of the development as well as the long-term future expansion plans for ADNOC’s site at the Al Ruwais Housing complex.

The new plant will treat up to 25,000m³ per day of raw sewage, with a designed expandable capacity of 30,000m³ per day.

Besides being eco-friendly, the plant will also be capable of producing high quality effluent that can be re-used for landscaping and irrigation purposes within the complex.
