Souq is now Amazon.ae… but it’s not good news
Since 1st of May, souq.com redirects to amazon.ae .
It’s a step forward considering the additional variety of products in the middle east, at least when it comes to “amazon basics” products.
But it is also a step backwards since amazon’s policy to cut cost (and maximize profits) will definetly impact our shopping. And i will tell you more about that in the following article.
Just a couple of months back, i discovered (and shared) how to order from souq.com and deliver to Ruwais. Since the transition, of souq.com to amazon.ae, i was eager to try out their … delivery options.
So i made 3 orders, with sellected items that Shiped from and sold by Amazon.ae [Sold by: Q Tech General Trading LLC]

Too bad… no more option for delivery to ruwais… thats means, amazon.com much more better since it use aramex as a courier to ruwais..
Indeed, it was a nice surprise to see aramex courier rather that PostaPlus (Speedex).
It’s crazy that amazon.com can deliver all the way to Ruwais, but amazon.ae can’t. Crazy Bezos.
